Happy New Year!
2008 is finally here!
The future economical outlook isn’t pretty (yes it is going to get uglier in 2008). American debts are so high that disasters (or "credit card" meltdown) is the next big thing after the sub-prime loan meltdown in 2007. The stock market does not seem to go higher and break any record high. The oil is going higher and high with no end in sight. (Please, do something! Somebody! Anybody!) The spending is going to be lower as people feel poorer. The growth of economics is going to be extremely low and may possibly negative.
Of course, there will be many more natural disasters as the global climate is changing. There can be flood in any given time on part of the earth. Because it is a La Nino year, there should be more hurricanes in 2008 than that in 2007. Moreover, because of the warmer climate, 2008 should have a very bad wild fire season (if not worse).
However, some good news will happen this year. The war in Iraq will end this year, but there will be more civil unrests in other parts of the world than that in 2007. Nevertheless, I do hope that Pakistanis will rise up and unite against Al-Qaeda due to the death of Mrs. Bhutto. Finally, my prediction is that Republican party has no chance winning the 2008 presidential election of U.S. Republicans can still fight to be nominated by their own party, but in everyone’s mind, they are a bunch of losers. People/American know that they are going to lose the election, but no one dares to say it out loud.
Cheers to 2008!
